New Name. Same Vision

Sometimes folks will tell you something and you just don’t listen. You get stuck with a vision that clearly isn’t working and you aren’t open to change.

Fortunately, that ain’t me. When I started my soap company, I wanted to create a classic brand that clients could depend on no matter what. I didn’t want to be trendy but instead become part of the trend towards healthier, simpler living.

I wanted my company to evoke a part of the region I grew up near and that I loved so much. Happy memories at the Bay. And so that is what I named it. Chesapeake Bay Bath and Body.

I found that people loved the product. Hated the name. They couldn’t remember it. Tripped all over it. And well, I’m all about simplicity. So the name has changed.

Bay Soap of Maryland remains the region’s premier supplier of handcrafted bath and body products. Our mission has not changed. We remain a classic brand, creating all-natural soaps in our Maryland studio.

It’s done the old-fashioned way and we like it like that. We are not trendy but believe that healthier, simpler living is a trend we are proud to be a part of.

You will still be able to find us at craft shows, flea markets and holiday shows, and exclusively at Personal Image Salon in Washington, D.C., and at Maryland's Treasures in New Market, Md., an emporium that sells only products made in the state.
